2018 Remembrance Service at all Hallows Church, Seaton 2018 11 11

2018 marked the centenary of the end of the First World War. Parishes around Rutland were encouraged to make poppies for a commemorative display in Oakham Castle. Eleanor Coop led an event in Seaton Village Hall to make over 100 poppies for the display. She was subsequently invited to attend the castle to receive a commemorative metal horseshoe which is now proudly displayed on the north wall of the Church next to the plaque which lists the names of parishioners who lost their lives serving in the 2 world wars. They will be remembered.
